Bonnie and Ross now must take in Joan's children - Sam, who feels bitterly abandoned by Ross, and his flippant sister. Meanwhile Bonnie and police captain Kessler wonder who murdered Joan, why, and what part Nick, Bonnie's brother, had to play.
